From the editors
A magazine about small, careful things.
We started Lowercase because the most interesting things we know are quiet. A furniture maker who spends a winter on one chair. A baker who has never changed her recipe. A town that still repairs its own clocks. None of them want a headline, and all of them deserve one.
Each issue collects a handful of long, unhurried stories, a few photographs drawn as illustrations, and one recipe we have tested at least three times. There are no listicles, no trends and no "ten things you need this season".
“Read it slowly. That's the whole idea.”
The first issue arrives in January, in print for subscribers and free to read here. In the meantime, the presses are warming up and the coffee is strong.
If that sounds like your kind of magazine, fill in the card. We will write once, when Issue Nº 01 is ready, and never sell your address.
